The SCOOP Foundation, which stands for ‘Supporting Children Out Of Poverty’, was set up in 2009 by Irish brothers Andy and Calvin Sweeney. Currently operating in the Middle East and at its home HQ in Ireland, SCOOP develops programs support and educate the next generation, especially young people at home and abroad who are suffering through no fault of their own.
SCOOP also respond to international emergencies, including the current refugee crisis in Ukraine, the on-going problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the homelessness crisis in Ireland and the Syrian War. Co-founder Calvin actually travelled to Syria to volunteer as a medic and ambulance driver!
